There’s something about the desert—the calm, the spirituality, the magical mojo? —that I can’t resist, so when Eddie Borgo told me his spring collection was inspired by the “architecture found in desolate environments,” I was immediately hooked. My favorite piece is the geometric Composition collar, which was influenced in part by Star Wars. “In my research, I came across a region of Tunisia where George Lucas filmed his epic,” Borgo says. “As some of the props left in the desert were overcome by sand, the line between the futuristic and ancient was blurred. I wanted to capture this dichotomy in the collection.” Vision quest, anyone?
