DALMATIAN JASPER
Although it is referred to as Dalmatian Jasper, Dalmatian Stone is an igneous rock called Perthite. The stone’s black spots are composed of the rare amphibole arfvedsonite (and not, as often claimed, of tourmaline); its lighter color is explained by the presence of granite. This variety of crustal sedimentary rock comes from the volcanic history of Mexico - specifically found and mined in Chihuahua, Mexico - and has always been considered a protective amulet there, believed to block negative energies or diseases while protecting from enemies.
Dalmatian Jasper is known as a nurturing stone, a symbol of Mother Earth, bringing out the child within. It helps bring clarity of mind to reveal one's strengths and weaknesses; bringing in a calm sense of tranquility, wholeness, and control. It helps increase loyalty in relationships by guiding on a path of self-love and honesty.
In meditation, place Dalmatian Jasper in your hand and allow it to pull you into a deep meditative state. This great stone will reveal to you the dualities of life and the importance of them - helping you draw in the light and positivity, while allowing you to embrace and understand the darkness and negativity that arise in everyday life.
